Teresa now works as deputy lead practitioner, our admissions officer and our special educational needs co-ordinator. Recently we celebrated her 10th year working at the Pre-School.Teresa commented “the past 10 years have seen a huge amount of change at the Pre-School but during all those years I have been privileged to work with some amazing people who have taught me so much” . Teresa said “I am proud to say that West End Pre-School has always been a setting where children are at the centre of everything we do and we have constantly looked to improve and give them the best early years experience we can”. The management team at West End Pre-School would like to thank Teresa for her loyalty, commitment and hard work during her time at the Pre-School. She is a great asset to the team and her knowledge and experience is valuable.

We have twinned with Bevois Town pre-school

December 2017

We have been very fortunate to of twinned up with Bevois Town pre-school in Southampton.

At the beginning of November Lesley and Lucy went to visit Bevois Town Pre-school and took with them a book  all about West End Pre-school to share with the children.

Today Diane and Clare came to visit us and they too brought with them a book all about their pre-school,  the children have really enjoyed looking at it and have asked many questions about the children at Bevois. Town. We were able to tell our children that in January we are going to be able to Skype with the children of Bevois Town. Just the beginning of what we hope to be a strong bond and long relationship with our twinned pre-school.

New Outdoor
Play Area

September 2017

We are thrilled to introduce you to our new Mud Kitchen and Outdoor Play Area.

Completed over the summer holidays, it provides a great place for our children to grow and develop.

The children have enjoyed getting hands on playing with the mud and water, encouraging role play and turn taking.

By taking on different roles, it helps our children develop their social skills and emotional understanding.

Leaver’s Sports Day and Presentation

19 July 2017

At the end of term, we held a sports day for all of our children going up to school in September 2017.

We had a great time, working in teams to complete activities, including the egg and spoon race, a sack race and an obstacle race.

The children then had a picnic, with a presentation and leaving certificate to congratulate them for their time at the pre-school.

We wish all of our children a happy summer, and the best of luck as their school adventure begins!
