Free sessions

Settling your child into pre-school is very important to us at West End pre-school, we believe that a child will engage and play when they feel fully settled and have made that connection of separating from their main carer and attaching to their key person during their time at preschool. To help with settling in, all new children are invited with their parents to a Teddy Bear's picnic at the end of the Summer term before they start.

In addition to this we will invite you and your child to come along for several settling in visits, this will be an opportunity for you and your child to get to know us and for us to get to know you. We will complete a welcome paperwork visit with you which will explain our routines and help us find out about your child's routines, likes and dislikes. Settling in is very bespoke to each child, but we do ask that a child attends a minimum of 2 settling in visits in addition to our welcome paperwork visit and these visits will be complimentary.

If a child needs more settling in visits then the key person will agree a settling in plan with you that meets the best interest and needs of your child.

Childcare vouchers

If your employer operates a childcare voucher scheme you can save National insurance and income tax. By registering for your employers scheme, up to £55 a week (basic rate taxpayers) can be deducted from your salary and used to provide childcare vouchers for the same amount. This amount, is then exempt from National Insurance and income tax.
